Nirmal has been involved with family law and estate planning law since 1983. He is an attorney licensed in Kansas (1983) and Missouri (1984), and a trained and certified mediator since 1999. Nirmal received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1983.

Nirmal firmly believes that family members should resolve their disagreements over issues of child custody and support, parenting options, maintenance (alimony), property and debt division, finances and debt management, and the like, in a non-hostile, uncontested manner. His experience with family law and mediation practice has shown that a skilled lawyer-mediator is able to provide the proper setting for family members to successfully resolve their serious differences, reach an agreement, and move beyond the conflict.

Nirmal also believes that everyone should have an estate plan in place so as to avoid the many cumbersome and complicated issues that arise down the road. Nirmal prepares Wills, Trusts, Beneficiary Deeds, Quit Claim Deeds, Healthcare Directives (Living Wills), Durable Powers of Attorney, Prenuptial & Postnuptial Agreements, and advises his clients on how they can avoid probate.
